πŸ„πŸ½β€β™€οΈ B L A C K - G I R L - S U R F πŸ™ŒπŸΎ My oldest two girls are starting to really enjoy surfing... like a lot a lot. So much so that we decided to invest into some official lessons outside of dad lessons. This morning they took lessons from @surfergirlacademy and man oh man did they LOVE it!!! This was a perfect confidence builder for the two of them and they can’t wait to get back in the water ❣️ Thank you @surfergirlacademy for taking such good care of my babies this morning! They insist on a daily beach trip, what are the best keiki surf spots on Oahu?😘😘 πŸ“· @surfergirlacademy #surfergirl #blackgirlsurf #keikisurf #surfing #luckywelivehawaii #hawaiimomblog #hawaiistagram #hawaiimomblogger #blackgirlmagic #blackmomblog #dadsurf #representationmatters @ripcurl_women
πŸ₯Ύ F A M I LΒ Y - H I K E / /Β  Yesterday I kicked of my 40th birthday with a family hike up Makapu'u Lighthouse Trail. Can I just tell ya'll,Β before living in Hawaii, hiking was NOT my thing. I just didn't do it. Despite having lived in places where hiking was quite commonplace. This island though... It's won me over. It's just so dang beautiful πŸ™ŒπŸΎ. So much so, that when my family asked me what I'd like to do on my birthday, I said excitedly said, "Let's do a family hike!" Now let's be real, this 'hike' is a paved trail up a mountain with convenient rest stops and look out points along the way. There are no bugs. There is no mud. So.. naturally I wore my AJ 1 Low Slips πŸ˜‰Β  I'm slowly building up my hiking confidence to hit up some more challenging trails with friends (@lisasmarty). For now though, I'm enjoying family hike time. Y’all make sure you watch till the end because Gerald ended up hauling three of the four kids back down the trail 🀣🀣🀣. Where else should we try? Are you a hiker? #blackwomenhike #blackmomsblog #luckywelivehawaii #womenofhawaii #hawaiifamily #blackmoms #hawaiimoms #aj1
❣️ L A S T - D A Y - O F - M Y - T H I R T I E S πŸ§˜πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ it’s been one heck of a decade. It started off married, with no kids in Tokyo. Now here we are, four kids later in Hawaii πŸ–, with a fitness franchise @fit4momhonolulu There are many things I’m thankful for, family, good friends, and my health πŸ’–. But what I am most thankful for, is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has kept me close and carried me through everything. If there is one thing I know, is that you will never leave my side πŸ™ŒπŸΎ so here’s to my amazing forties, I’m ready! #hawaii #blackmomblog #fitover40 #fit4mom #hawaiimomblog #womenofhawaii #fitmom
🐜 When life gives you termites, you take a staycation πŸ™ŒπŸΎ We recently had our home tented for termites, which I recently discovered is a very involved process of bagging up food and toiletries. We decided to make the most of our being booted out by termites by enjoying a staycation in Waikiki @laylowwaikiki . I love me some mid-century modern design with a sprinkle of Hawaii and this place does not disappoint! Plus, the local kama’aina rate is awesome! I even asked my friend @jensnowphoto last minute if she could capture some family photos for us to commemorate our pandemic staycation πŸ™ŒπŸΎ thank you Jen! I’m compiling a list of cute family-friendly hotels on Hawaii to try- drop your favorite β€œmust-stay” in the comments so we can check it out! 😘 #hawaiimomblogger #hawaiimomblog #staycation #hawaiilife #womenofhawaii #momsofinstagram #blackmomblogger #blackmomsblog #hawaiifamily #blackmomskillingit
W A T E R - P A R K I N β€˜/ / πŸ’– We out here πŸ™ŒπŸΎ! Here are more snapshots from our #familyfun day @wetnwildhawaii. We arrived when the park opened and stayed until it closed (the only way to tire β€˜Em all out πŸ™ŒπŸΎ). I admit, I do love me some AC during the hottest time of the day. So that cute little cabana was everything πŸ˜‚. My girls brought a friend along to explore the park; Noah toddled around and we enjoyed some good social distancing fun. Noah was not ready to leave πŸ€—πŸ’– but mama was! We used to live in Ewa Beach years ago and never visited the water park- πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ we should have though. It’s a good spot for having a lazy family fun day if you want to switch it up from the beach occasionally 😘 #hawaiimomblog
Our ohana recently ventured to Kapolei to enjoy some social distancing water fun at Wet β€˜n’ wild. This was our second time visiting the park since COVID-19 restrictions. My girls had a lot of fun, especially in the wave pool. Me and Noah explored the park, as he toddled around πŸ€—. We tried out one of their cabanas, which contributed tremendously to a great experience. I was expecting the price to be expensive, but I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it was during the week. I think this will be a monthly family fun trip for us πŸ’– #hawaiimomblog #luckywelivehawaii #blackmomblogger #hawaiifamilyfun
