I don’t know who the genius is who decided to place this amazing and creative play structure right next to the new Target located at Ala Moana Mall; but, I gotta say, “Well done friend!” Genius!
Not only is the play structure awesome, it’s simple, unique, and SHADED!! YES MA’AM! It’s hands down, my favorite and in my opinion best play structure on the island. All three of my girls play on it, no problem. What I don’t like, is that beautiful new Target store twenty fee away, tempting me to go in a ‘walk around’. #targetmywallet
Anyway, here’s a video that offers a quick glimpse into the awesomeness that is our new go-to play structure on the island. And, here’s to hoping we get more of these on the island. I’m looking at you Ward Central Plaza coming up (please give Oahu another awesome play structure, one that competes with Ala Moana’s!)
Now, according to the Star Advertiser, “The new play area, measuring about 40 feet long and 20 feet tall, was inspired by the motion of an ocean wave, according to Scott Creel, Ala Moana Center’s senior marketing manager, in an email. It was designed by Spencer Luckey of New Haven, Conn.-based Luckey LLC, which also created the climbing structure at Whalers Village in Lahaina.”
