[ADVERTISEMENT] The Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay

We just celebrated twelve years of marriage and I was reminded of our amazing honeymoon in Bali. I hope to return there one day with my kids to experience such a beautiful culture and country.

In celebration of marriage to G, I wanted to share this awesome deal with the Four Season Bali at Jimbaran Bay!

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay immerses families in a cultural paradise with Balinese art, music and crafts. There’s also plenty of activities including complimentary yoga, beach games, kayaking, sailing, and tennis clinics; see our list below. Best of all, every accommodation is a villa with lushly-landscaped outdoor living area and private swimming pool.

Four Seasons’ Family Vacation Package offers 30% savings on room rate, daily breakfast and babysitting services.

Jala Cooking Academy – Jala Cooking Academy isn’t only for grown-ups, it’s delicious fun for the whole family. There’s a dedicated kids’ pastry class, offering a hands-on lesson in the colorful art of Balinese dessert making. There’s also a multi-generational Family Cooking Class specifically designed by Head Chef Kristya Yudha to enable parents and children to cook a full Balinese menu together. The entire family joins Kris on a tour of Jimbaran Fish Markets, before returning to Jala to cook the meal together (with Kris designating age-appropriate tasks to all participants), culminating in a family lunch.

Coconut Grove is your gateway to aquatic adventure: a family hobie cat expedition, team kayak or windsurfing race. No need to splash out either – these non-motorized water sports are complimentary.

Family Surf & SUP – Learn to surf in the sheltered confines of Jimbaran Bay or explore Bali’s world-class breaks with the resort’s Tropicsurf coaches and guides. Tropicsurf is an Australian based company with expert guides in exotic locations and have been in the business for over 25 years. Tropicsurf also has Stand-Up Paddleboards for rent, offering yet another way to explore the Bay.

Jimba Club – Buckets full of fun for kids ages 4 to 11. With daily changing themes and activities including Balinese dance and dress-up, kite flying, crab hunting and coconut bowling, Jimba Club is a safe, welcoming and adventure-filled way to learn more about Bali, make new friends and have the holiday of a lifetime.

Celebrating Bali’s heritage as the only remaining Hindu civilization in Indonesia, Ganesha Cultural Centre offers classes and workshops in Balinese art, music and crafts. The centre’s primary purpose is to actively support local artists and give them a chance to connect with an international audience. Recommended classes for younger guests include:

  • Balinese Dance Observation – The eyes, the hands, the expressive movements; Balinese dance is an enthralling and important part of religious and artistic expression. Balinese children are taught traditional dance almost as soon as they can walk. Observe the impressive skills of children from Jimbaran village, and join in!
  • Canang Making – Canang are everywhere in Bali; these daily offerings thank the supreme God for blessings and protection from evil spirits. In this interactive class, learn to weave and fill a canang. Find out why the selected items are arranged in a certain way, and why “temptations” such as candy and coins are often used! Take a Temple Tour with our Resort Priest and place the canang at the shrine.
  • Painting Class – Learn from the masters with a class in Balinese painting, focusing on modern styles as well as primitive forms to remind us of the origins of Balinese painting.
  • The Art of Sokasi – These colorful, woven baskets serve as storage boxes for various items and are also used to carry offerings for daily prayers. Learn how to weave a sokasi box and paint initials on one as a souvenir to take home.
  • Ogoh-Ogoh Making – Every year before the Nyepi New Year, Ganesha Cultural Centre offers a special series of classes on ogoh-ogoh (monster doll) making. Under the guidance of our master artist, create a mini ogoh-ogoh to bring to the parade on Nyepi Eve. Made from foam, the dolls are lightweight, sturdy, and easy to carry home in luggage as a unique souvenir.
